Wild woman

The Wild Woman sculptural paintings are a balance of chaos and control, using spray paint, plaster, resin, oil pastel and other materials to create dynamic texture and movement. Each work contains a number of impulsive marks that evoke visceral emotion of the female experience- from pride and fierceness, to anger and alienation. They are imbued with an energy that reflects the radical, transformative bravery, confidence, independence, and strength needed in the face of a difficult and sometimes unfair world- the real need to channel one’s inner wild woman to meet life’s challenges. They are a rejection of social biases and constraints on women and reclaim the the label of the ‘wild woman’, oft used to subjugate the female, as a positive. She is wild and beautiful and sometimes fierce, ever changing like the ocean.
